Janet Morrison
THE WRITER’S SITE – Port Alberni, BC Canada
Writer, Ghostwriter, Proofreader and Certified Professional Virtual Author’s Assistant.
Hello, I’m Janet Morrison, owner of The Writer’s Site and I specialize in helping you – the author – through the writing and publishing process. As a Virtual Author’s Assistant, my services provide administrative order for all the writing and publishing tasks ahead of you, in the right time frames. In the early stages of writing, this might include: creating an inventory of your intellectual property, researching your potential audience, researching potential publishers and assisting with the book proposal, fact-checking, obtaining permissions, overseeing the review process, organizing front and back matter, and finding reputable book and cover designers and printers that are right for you. Later on, I can assist with preparing the manuscript for submission, handling proofs, and coordinating the many details of publishing (obtaining the ISBN and bar code, registering the copyright, sending copies to the national library) . In addition to creating a task list and tracking tools, I will oversee a plan of action and coordinate the flow of information as it comes in, ensuring that nothing is missed in the publishing timeline.
